Concrete contractor · Driveways, patios, foundations

Poured right or poured twice.

Setform does the invisible parts properly — compacted base, correct PSI, rebar where the load lives, and control joints cut on schedule. Concrete forgives nothing; neither does our checklist.

"Three bids. Cheapest one said 'gravel as needed.' Setform's said '4 inches, compacted, photo before pour.' Six years later mine's flat and the neighbor's — poured the same summer — looks like a dry lakebed."

Before the pour

Why do concrete bids vary by thousands?

The dirt you can't see: base depth, compaction, mix PSI, and reinforcement. Ask every bidder for those four specs in writing — "standard" is not a spec. Our quote prints all four; cheap bids get expensive at the first freeze-thaw.

Will my new concrete crack?

Concrete cracks — the trade is making it crack where planned. Control joints sawn at 12 hours give cracks a straight, invisible home. Random structural cracking means base failure, and that's what the 5-year warranty covers.

When can I drive on it?

Walk: 24–48 hours. Drive: 7 days. Full strength: 28 days. Anyone who says "drive Tuesday" on a Friday pour is selling you a future repair.

What time of year is best?

Spring through fall here — we don't pour below 40° without cold-weather protocol (and we'll tell you when waiting beats blankets). Winter is for quotes; the spring schedule fills by March.
