Why solid wood

The math on "cheap" furniture isn't cheap.

i.

Bought once

A $600 particleboard table survives 1–2 moves. Our tables are on their third households — we know because the grandkids email us for refinishing advice.

ii.

Fixable, forever

Solid wood sands, re-oils, and repairs. Every scratch is a weekend fix, not a landfill trip. Lifetime structural warranty on every joint.

iii.

Yours, exactly

Custom length, height, or finish runs +15% — not double. If your dining room is nine feet, your table shouldn't be a compromise.

"We paid $2,300 for the table eleven years ago. It's moved houses twice, hosted maybe 400 dinners, and looks better than the day it arrived. Per dinner, it's the cheapest thing we own."

Honest answers

Before you visit

Why is it more expensive than the big-box store?

Because it's a different object. Kiln-dried hardwood, mortise-and-tenon joinery, and a finisher's name on the underside. Compare per-decade instead of per-purchase and we're usually the cheaper table.

How long does a piece take?

Showroom pieces deliver within two weeks. Built-to-order runs 6–9 weeks — you'll get the build slot date when you order, and a photo when it hits the finishing room.

What does the lifetime warranty exclude?

Almost nothing structural: joints, frames, and drawer boxes are covered forever, original owner or inherited. Finish wear from normal life isn't a defect — but we'll teach you the 20-minute re-oil that fixes it.

Can I see wood samples before deciding?

We mail a free sample box — four species, oiled and raw. Live with them on your windowsill for a week; wood changes with your light.
