Plants that were grown here, not trucked here.

Two-thirds of what we sell was propagated in our own greenhouses, in this county's soil and weather. That's why it lives when you get it home — and why we can guarantee it for a year.

Dirt-under-the-nails answers

Before you dig

Why are your plants a little more than the big-box store?

Ours were grown 400 yards from the register in this climate, hardened off properly, and guaranteed for a year. Theirs rode a truck from three zones away. Count replacement costs and we're the cheap ones.

How does the one-year guarantee work?

Trees, shrubs, and perennials: if it dies within a year of purchase, bring the receipt (or your Grower's Club record — we keep it for you) and any part of the plant. Replacement or credit, your pick. No interrogation about your watering.

I kill everything. Where do I start?

Say exactly that at the counter — it's our favorite opening line. You'll leave with three unkillable plants for your specific light, a watering schedule, and permission to come back with questions forever.

Do you deliver and plant?

Delivery from $25; planting service from $95 per tree including soil amendment and the mulch ring done right. We'll also just coach you through it free if you'd rather dig.
