Help at home, so home is where they stay.

Hearthside provides non-medical home care — companionship, personal care, memory care support — from caregivers who are our W-2 employees, matched carefully and kept consistent. Mom sees the same two faces, not a rotating cast.

Care from $34/hr · 4-hour minimum visits · Overnight & 24/7 care available · Free in-home care assessment

How it starts

Four gentle steps.

i.

The call

A care advisor listens — the falls, the forgetting, the family worry. No script, no pressure, 20 minutes.

ii.

The assessment

Free, in-home, with your parent present and heard. Care plan and honest costs, in writing, same week.

iii.

The match

Caregivers chosen for skills and chemistry — the retired teacher gets the crossword lover. Meet before the first shift.

iv.

The rhythm

Same caregivers, same days. Weekly check-ins with the family, adjustments whenever life changes.

"Dad calls Tuesday 'Marcus day' now. He's shaved, fed, walked, and full of opinions about their chess game. My brother watches the visit notes from Seattle. We got our lives back — and so did he."

Honest answers

What families ask first

How much does home care actually cost?

$34–40/hour depending on care level, with a 4-hour visit minimum. Three visits a week runs roughly $1,750/month — compare that against assisted living at $5,500+ locally. Long-term-care insurance often covers it; we bill carriers directly and help you check your policy free.

Who exactly comes into my parent's home?

Our W-2 employees — background-checked, bonded, insured, and trained (dementia certification for memory care). You get names, photos, and a meet-and-greet before any care starts. No gig-app strangers, ever.

What if Mom says she doesn't need help?

Most do at first. We start small — a few "housekeeping" or companionship hours with the right personality — and let the relationship do the convincing. Our advisors coach you on that conversation; it's half our job.

What happens if a caregiver is sick?

A trained backup from the same small team — someone your parent has already met — with a heads-up call to you first. Coverage is our problem, never yours; that's the point of an agency over a private hire.
